In this guide, I’ll explain how to disassemble Samsung Galaxy S5 to remove the back cover, battery, front glass, screen and motherboard. Refer to this guide, you can remove, replace screen, front glass of your Samsung S5.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Screen Replacement
This is broken front glass and new front glass.
First step, remove the back cover and battery.

Remove the cover, under the cover is home button’s touch cable.
Disconnect the touch cable.
Heat up the edge of the display assembly for 3-5 minutes.
Open the display assembly a little bit with a suction cup.
Insert the guitar pick, slide the pick by the arrows to open the display assembly.
Now the old display assembly was remo ved, cleaning the residue on the body.
Install the new double-sided adhesive film, and remove the protective film from the new display assembly.
Install the new display assembly.
