Have you ever accidentally deleted or removed Cydia from your device? If yes, then you know getting Cydia back up can be quite a chore.
Even if you donât accidentally delete Cydia, you can still be forced to remove it. This happens primarily because the Installer along with several packages doesnât install properly.
This is where Cydia Failsafe comes in.
Cydia Failsafe tweak is a once-click tool for reinstalling Cydia without terminal/SSH access. It is developed by tweak developer GewoonDani.
It works without iFunBox, computer (PC/Mac), iFile/Filza File Manager, Terminal, or SSH. You donât even need to jailbreak your device again just to get Cydia back. Once click and youâre good to go.
Remember, this utility is preemptive, not reactive meaning you wonât be able to install and use it after you delete Cydia. You must install it beforehand if you want to reinstall Cydia in the future.
Requirements
- A jailbroken iPhone, iPad, or iPod
- iOS 10-10.2
- Cydia
- Internet connection
Step 1 Open Cydia.
Step 2 Select Manage > Sources.
Step 3 Select Edit at the top right > Add.
Step 4 Enter the URL of GewoonDaniâs Cydia repo â" https://repo.d4ni.nl/
Step 5 Install Cydia Failsafe tweak.
Step 7 Tap the icon, select Yes, and wait for your device to respring. When the process is over, Cydia will be up and running.
If you happen to accidentally use Cydia Failsafe while Cydia is still present on your device, you have nothing to worry about. This will just reinstall Cydia Installer and update it to the latest version.
